I am a Visual Artist and Art teacher located here in Bolingbrook. I have years of experience teaching a range of Art and Design activities in the area, helping form children’s aesthetic and artistic view, stimulating creativity and developing children’s passion for arts and design. I teach children basic painting and drawing techniques such as working with lines, dots, finger painting, origami, pulled cardboard prints and basic structures of a portrait, as well as basic color-theory and rules of composition.
Between 1999 and 2007 I taught simultaneously at the two National Colleges in Fagaras, Romania, students aged 7 to 19. Following the national syllabus, I adapted the textbook lessons according to student age and interest with the aim to provide an accessible and enticing introduction to art theory and basic drawing and painting techniques. I developed compulsory activities such as exhibitions with students’ works in school and in various institutions of the city, participated in local, county, national and international contests and I created teaching posters and school activities posters. I volunteered and organized extra-curricular activities with students, such as theatre performances - designed the scenery and costumes for a group of 25 students. I am fluent in Romanian, English and French. Intermediate knowledge of Italian, Basic Russian.

Art has been a part of my life since childhood, a constant source of curiosity, comfort, and connection. As a realism artist, I work in several mediums including acrylic painting, printmaking, pencil, and soft pastel. I am drawn to still life compositions that reveal the beauty in everyday objects, capturing the play of light, texture, and reflection in photo-realistic detail.
I especially enjoy exploring challenging subjects such as chrome, fabric, and textured surfaces. Each piece gives me the chance to grow as an artist and deepen my appreciation for the craft.
Sharing art is just as meaningful to me as creating it. I have taught children of all ages and adults, and I have also worked with organizations that help Veterans cope with post traumatic stress through fine arts.
For me, art is both expression and empathy, a way to connect with others and reflect the quiet beauty found in the world around us.
